My latest Bereavement counselling review!

About Yvonne. online Grief Counsellor, and latest review.

Yvonne has been absolutely excellent ...

I realise it can be difficult to know who to turn to when struggling with loss:

It can be hard to talk to our family and friends because either they’re trying to come to terms with a loss too or we don’t want to impose on them and their busy lives.

Sometimes, by the time we can cope with getting help, others have moved on, and don’t even realise we’re not managing on our own, or, if they do, they’re often not very understanding of the enormity of the impact of loss on our lives.

You may feel numb, particularly if your loss is recent, or you may be going through a whole range of emotions – overwhelming sadness, guilt, anger, regret - and not know how to find a way to keep going on your own.

I will provide a listening ear...

‘Grieving is natural’

'Grieving doesn't make you imperfect. It makes you human.' (quote by Sarah Dessen)

Feeling numb, angry or even guilty?

When faced with grieving we often feel like our feelings are wrong and we shouldn’t be experiencing them – particularly when we feel numb or become angry. We often feel heavy with guilt, thinking we should have done better for our loved one before they died. The same feelings are often experienced during other losses in life, such as relationship break-ups, job loss, and losses in later life.

If you’re struggling with numbness, anger, or guilt be reassured that all these feelings, and many more, are quite natural reactions to losing a loved one. If you allow yourself to grieve you will, in time, begin to feel more like yourself again.
