Counselling for change and loss

Counselling to help with change and loss with Yvonne at Daisy Vision Counselling

Counselling for change and loss in life that is not caused by a physical death, but still causes grieving, is something that I feel should be offered.

Change is something that we naturally don’t often cope well with, especially when it’s a change that we’ve not chosen or planned for. Many losses in life throw us off balance as they force upon us changes that we don’t want, and often we don’t even see them coming.

Other life changes are inevitable, but even though we know they’re going to happen, when they do, we still struggle with the loss.

When faced with a loss we then go into the grieving process, with the same types of emotions and reactions as those experienced when bereaved and a loved one dies.

What makes grieving a life-changing loss of this type even harder to cope with, is that we often feel very alone and our friends and family don’t necessarily realise we’re grieving and need support. We can find there’s no one to talk to and so we try to suppress our emotions so that we can remain strong and somehow struggle on.

If you need someone to talk to and don’t feel you have anyone you can talk to about your loss and the difficulties coping with the changes in you life, counselling may help.

I provide counselling to help with the grieving process for losses in life and some of the specific areas I cover are:

- Parenting

- Starting uni

- Job loss

- Relationship loss

- Loss in later life

If  you're going through the grieving process for any of the losses, or in other areas of you life not listed, and would like to talk about counselling, please give me a call on 07726 465229 or email [email protected] .

I would see it as a privilege to come alongside you, listening as you talk about your difficulties and then help you find a way to move forward for a brighter future.
