Counselling for starting uni

Counselling for starting uni by Yvonne, at Daisy Vision Counselling

I provide counselling for starting uni, to help students who are struggling with the loss they're experiencing. Although exciting, starting uni can also be very daunting, especially for those who haven’t been used to being away from home, parents, siblings and friends.

It can even come as a shock, when a student begins to feel home-sick. They may have been looking forward to having their independence, only to find they not coping. There are all sorts of unexpected and unrealised pressures on them, as they begin this new life-style, which can cause added stress and anxiety as they fend for themselves, and often being forced to learn new skills, cooking, cleaning, washing, etc.

If you’re unable to cope with the student life, and don’t know who to talk to, or have a son or daughter that needs help, you can contact me to find out about counselling. You can ring me on 07726 465229 or email [email protected].
